Who Are We
KAREN BOUGHTON
SIEGELMAN published a neighborhood newspaper when she was 12 years old and she has been hooked on writing about interesting people and places ever since.
After receiving a journalism degree at Penn State University she worked as the public relations director at a number of educational institutions and then switched careers to become a reporter for Messenger Post Newspapers. For ten years she covered everything from town board meetings and police investigations to human interest stories and political campaigns.
Now in addition to joining the staff of CONNECTING ROCHESTER as Editor, she is a columnist for the Democrat and Chronicle and a freelance writer for a Webster community website.
When she’s not writing, Karen is either working at the Webster Parks and Recreation Department, eating out or traveling with family members or friends, or cheering on her alma mater's football team, the Nittany Lions.
CONNIE CONTESTABILE followed up a successful 10 year management career in the banking industry by putting her
talents to work helping business owners with their
marketing needs.
As an advertising account executive with Messenger Post Newspapers, Connie displayed a tremendous natural ability for helping her clients find creative solutions.
As Director of Sales for Spiritus Media Group, Connie will be responsible for building a team dedicated to serving the needs of area businesses.
